Obina Shok era uma banda brasileira de sucesso, de Braíslia mas durou pouco de 1985 a 1988. Três de seus membros eram não-brasileiros e eram ligados à comunidade diplomática local: Jean-Pierre Senghor, do Senegal (e neto do falecido presidente Leopold Senghor); Roger Kedyh, do Gabão; e Winston Lackin, do Suriname - os outros membros eram brasileiros.

Seu estilo era uma mistura de pop com ritmos caribenhos, africanos e brasileiros. O nome da banda, em Myene, significa "caminho da dança"

(Obina Shok was a successful Brazilian band from Braíslia but lasted little from 1985 to 1988. Three of its members were non-Brazilians and linked to the local diplomatic community: Jean-Pierre Senghor of Senegal (and grandson of the late President Leopold Senghor ); Roger Kedyh of Gabon; and Winston Lackin of Suriname - the other members were Brazilian.

His style was a mix of pop with Caribbean, African and Brazilian rhythms. The name of the band, in Myene, means "way of the dance")
